This place belonged to my great uncle and his wife, Owen and Esther Bremer.

My family lived here near my grandparents until 1974. My dad Jerald Nietert milked cows in the big barn. I can see our laundry on the clothesline that mom washed with a wringer washer. Such a good childhood❤️ The house is still there and I think one of the sheds.

This farm belonged to Alpha and Nettie Dix, on Sutton Road North of the Historic Paris Bridge. To my knowledge the only thing left is one of the barns.

This was my grandparents, Leo Vearl and Carrie Anna Nietert’s place. It was my grandma’s home place, her parents were Peter and Amelia Bremer. It is on a road that is now called Buffalo Dr. in a community called Paris. There is nothing left there now, that I can tell, of their original farm. The house and barn as well as most of the outbuildings are all gone. I am so glad that this photo exists and that I found it, it was a significant part of my childhood.
