This is my house since 2003 but it was built by HJ Smith who was my father-in-law. The house was built for son, Don Smith. Later owned by Keith and Sandy Burton until 2003. The property looks much the same but now has several big pecan trees, pool in the back, and a paved driveway. 2791 Pope Ave., Steele, AL

Murdock Drive, Carlisle Community, Etowah County. Homestead of Jerome "Buster" and Estelle Murdock. Small house on right belonged "Mama Huff" and then members of the Murdock Family. Both houses are still there but the lake is dried up and overgrown as of 2020.

Carlisle Community, Highway 431, Etowah County Alabama. The Gilliland family lived in in the 1960's.

I lived in this house as a child. The house in this photo looks just like it did in 1964. Now the house on right is gone. The homeplace has been added onto and looks nothing like this picture. Carlisle Community, Etowah County Alabama
