Tee Wee? Don't remember that name. Gas station/food mart just west/northwest of Pineville on Highway 51.

Produce stand (Miller's?) and fireworks store off Highway 51 in between Pineville and Carowinds. Fireworks store was just over the state line in SC since they were illegal in NC at the time.

At least they repurposed the building rather than tearing it down and building something new. That is, something new in addition to all the other facilities they did need to build.

Yeah, that building definitely seemed to outlast several other building in the area.

Never mind the Southern National Bank building; check out the Nissan 300Z in the bottom right. T-tops and pop-up headlights? Yep, definitely the 80s. Also looks like a Trans Am parked in the upper right.

That's right. At the time I was more interested in the Showbiz Pizza Place just out of frame behind the Quincy's.

This was on the southwest corner and arguably the best because it had the Handy Pantry. The Exxon across 521 had a service station. The final one, on the northeast corner also had a convenience store, a 7-11 I believe. I can't remember what was on the final corner. It was a drug store later on. Whatever it was at the time of this photo, there was a really good Italian restaurant next to it.

More importantly, there was always at least one good arcade machine in the grocery store through most of the 80s. There was a comic store (New Dimensions) and a video rental place in the strip to the right of the grocery. Also, the trees and field in the bottom of the photo is now an off-ramp for I-485.
