My Uncle Owen Boydston lived here from the 1960s until his death in 1989. He sold Vigortone Feed and Troy-Bilt rototillers from the small white building behind the house. I can make out his Troy-Bilt sign in the front yard by the driveway. My Uncle Howard Boydston lived next door, and his large garden can be seen across the fence to the right. The Boydston family farm is in the background.

The Edgerton Elementary School, part of the North Platte School District, I attended from Kindergarten to 7th grade. Depending on when in 1982 this picture was taken, this was the last year I attended here. The school has mostly been demolished now, except for the area on the far right in this picture. and a new school structure has been built. Oddly enough, the white part of the school building (on the left) was fairly new, having only been constructed in 1978. I also remember when the large concrete slab was poured in front of the school (also in 1978, I believe). It is partially obstructed by the trees in this photo.

The Union Mill Opry auditorium, located just inside Buchanan County, north of Edgerton, Missouri. This place was a big draw for the area in the 1970s and 80s until it shut down. It is now somewhat in disrepair. Known for it's country and western, and gospel shows, people from all over the area would come to Edgerton to eat at Harmer's Café on Friday and Saturday nights and then go to the "Opry." Named after the Union Mill that used to be located on the Platte River near Edgerton. My cousin worked here for years, and I saw the Blackwood Brothers Quartet here on many occasions.

School building in Grand River, Iowa. My Dad's family, the Palmer's used to live there. Spent many Thanksgivings and summer trips there as a kid in the 1970s and 80s. This building is no longer there, as I believe it has been replaced with a community center.
