When I went here, the building on the right was Vinton County Jr High. The other buildings were Allensville Elementary. Jr High building didn’t have a lunch room, if you bought lunch you walked to the elementary cafeteria. If you pack lunch you ate at the top of the bleachers where there were some tables in the gym. Basement always flooded and it was run down by the time I went there, but it was probably my favorite school.

Covered Bridge in the photo is Bay Covered Bridge. It was moved to the fairgrounds. It was on Bay Road and the spot it was in is now covered by Lake Rupert

Mullins Pizza was in the building in the lower left part of the picture until a few years ago. Moved into the diner in McArthur. Building is now empty.
