This is my great-grandparents farm, originally owed by Niels and Magda Hemmingsen. Their son, Henry & his wife, Marion took over the farm when they retired. The plane on the right side of the photo belonged to Henry's (Hank) son, Douglas Hemmingsen. The farm has stayed in the family and is now owned by a great granddaughter. We hold our family reunions on the farm. The original house burned down due to an electrical fire. This house was purchased from in-town, Union, and moved out to the farm. Niels and Magda raised seven sons here.

This was my Aunt & Uncle's home, Patsy & Harold Knake on Thorne Road, Marengo, Illinois 60152. They added a metal shed behind and off to the right of the garage.
