This photo is of the actual top of the lift. Once on the large wood plank platform one could climb the short observation tower for a greater view. In the early 1980s my father-in-law and I rode to the Sky lift to the top for an incredible views of the whole town also the Mississippi river with lock and dam below.

At the time of photo above (1968). this was a apple processing and packing plant which closed in 1978. Repurposed as a event center for weddings, Bald Eagle watching / educational days in January, etc. The Apple Shed 702 S. 2nd St., Clarksville, Mo

This was a store at this time. Building was taken down in late 90s, early 2000's.
