The house my Dad built for us on FM 2. My sister owns it now, about 800' from where my house is today. Pic is circa 1983 (house built in 1980).

Grimes County Precinct 3 Road & Bridge Barn (just like it says, LOL). Circa 1978. The Barn is still there, but the writing is faded and generally, the site is used for County Garbage collection - this is where I take my garbage every Saturday.

This place belongs to Mr. Ben Swank. The house was last occupied as recently as 2000-ish, but it was most "famously" occupied by an old black man and his wife: we all called him Big Boy, but I can't remember his last name (he was from a local family). Big Boy worked at Camp Allen, for my Grandmother, just down the road from here, as a janitor. He was known for his stature, but also for his big heart, and gregarious nature - everybody knew Big Boy.
