Great story here. Build rapidly in the 1920s as a resort hotel and casino to take advantage of Garland county's corrupt police force who were "on the take". Unfortunately, in their haste to cash in on the massive graft of the area they surveyed incorrectly and constructed the building about 10 yards into Saline county, which shut them down within a year. I was the tech that maintained the LV systems in it when it was in its last life as a nursing home, the only one in the area with a huge parquet-floored lobby!
