I believe this is the El Mirador Hotel at Indian Canyon (along the bottom) and Tachevah (barely visible behind the trees in the upper right), which had been around since the turn of the 20th century, and served as a military compound during WWII (the PSP airport started life as an Army airfield that this installation supported). Tower gives it away. Burned in the early 70s, tower and adjacent Mission-style building survives today, entire block including legacy tower and buildings now the Desert Regional Medical Center...
