This house is still standing in 2020 but in very poor condition. I believe it has been empty for about 12 years. The property is zoned commercial now and the house is no longer visable because of the overgrown vegetation. I hope this house does not get torn down as it was built in 1860 and possibly the oldest standing home anywhere near here.

Still standing in November 2022 but everything around it has been cleared for subdivisions. 962 Loganville Hwy Bethlehem Ga

This house was torn down today and every piece was hauled off in dumpsters. Sad end to a Civil War era house. Once the trees were cleared away, it really didn't look that bad, I thought they were going to move it for restoration and preservation. A gentleman once told me this was the oldest house standing in Barrow county. The last 10 years has seen this area becoming nothing but traffic, stores, gas stations and houses. stacked almost on top of each other. This area is not what it once was.

You can still see how it used to look on Google Maps Street View which goes back to 2008. Classic 2-box house - 2 rectangles at right angles to each other. By 2019 it was in bad shape.

I had to see for myself, I rode by and can confirm it is gone. I now regret never stopping in for a closer look. I liked this house as well.
