Image is looking NW:
US 441-Macon Hwy (Macon is to the left, Athens to the right) and (prior to the Athens Perimeter-Loop's completion) Timothy Road. This section of Timothy Road was severed when the Loop was completed, and the road was stubbed and became Timothy Place. The traffic signal in the image was removed when Timothy was relocated to the right (towards Athens) of the image. The store in the middle of the image "Hamilton's Grocery" has been gone for some time.
Yep. I lived up Timothy Rd in first house on the right 1/4 mile up Timothy.
