This is the old home of Luther and Janet Welty. They purchased the farm in 1975 and raised their family there. Several years ago Luther built a log cabin between the house and the old barn. The old barn is no longer there. The barn was destroyed in 1982 when Luther's moonshine still exploded. The explosion destroyed the north end of the barn and killed two cows that were grazing in the nearby field.

My husband grew up on this farm.
