Hi Jacob,
There's a lot of water behind the house, do you know if there was once a pond or stream that overflowed that year?
The creek actually runs just behind that far tree line. I would assume it was flooded out when the picture was taken. The water comes up about the same now as it did in this picture when we have heavy rains.
