This house was known as The Joshua House in the late 70's and through the 80's. It was a half way house run by a local pastor. My parents were on staff there and we lived there for several years. This is where we lived when I was born in 1981. I know very little about the history of the building, but it had a room upstairs that I was told was a roller rink at one time. I believe it also used to hold the area general store and a post office many years before it was a half way house. The house is now caving in and is barely even bones. I have many memories growing up here.

At one time the upstairs has served as a roller rink, a grange hall, and also it served as a boarding house/hotel.

My dad used to live in this house. Then growing up, we would always go over there to play in the "big room" with our friend Jenny. We had so much fun going there on Sundays. Now that poor building is falling to pieces.

The best gift my late husband gave to me, he took me back there, he knew the new owners.Got a section of the dining rm wall.Cut it as a heart. Made shadow box, with a picture of Slim n Sally, a flower from Slims funeral.I will treasure the memories always!!!

Robert & Sherrel Nelson were there many years ago. But don't remem, ber the add on room?????

This building was a general store in Richwoods many years ago and was dismantled and moved to Trimble later on. Elisha Goodwin ran the store in Richwoods.
