mt siblings and I went to grade school in the Esmond school in the fore ground. Began my management career at the small wooden elevator to the left of the the school.In the late 1960's the large 350,000 bushel concrete slip form grain elevator, attached steel bin aaaand new office and scale were built. the Company was named Farmers Grain Conpany of Esmond, Illinois. This cooperative grain complex was the first of this type of construction built North of the Illinois River.
