My x husband and I bought this house in 1991. I sat empty for 2.5 years. The family was going to have a controlled burn to take it down. I visited it 5 times before telling my husband I thought we should find out who owns it and buy it. I saw the beauty that it could behold if it were restored. We bought it and restored it to good condition again. It took us 6 years and still didn't restore the basement or attic. What a lovely home. It had a lot of family history. Told by family that it was one of the first homes to have electricity. It was a huge farm operation. Folks would gather there after church for Strawberries and cream. Wish I would have stayed there.
