None of the buildings in this photo lasted much longer. By 1972, all were gone, including the grain bin on the far right. This was one of 30 identical bins lined up between St. Charles Road and the railroad. These were most likely part of a government grain storage program which was popular in many rural areas in the 1950s and 1960s.
