That looks like Eberle School? If so, I spent 8 years of my life there!

Eberle Grade School. I was probably in the first grade when this was taken.

I went to school there for 1st through 4th grade. Maxine Birch was our 1st grade teacher. Eleanor Martin was 2nd grade. Mabel Davis taught 3rd and 4th grade. Mary Schwengel was our cook. We went to the basement for lunch. Also had many 4-H meetings at the school. Walter Gerth was the janitor. I started first grade in 1964. Wow, long time ago.

I believe the entire place burned to the ground years ago. If the photo showed more of the north you could see the small field we played in....kick ball, softball and so on. You can see the basketball goals but the court was dirt. Later, at Elliottstown, we had a paved (but outdoor) court. Thought we were really in the big time at that point.
