This is the old school but it is now a house my grandpa built and now my father lives there.
As pointed out above, the school was eventually converted into a residence. The Aug 2024 Street View image shows the two doors located at each end of the long wall seen in the 1968 photo are still there and the main entrance of the school was incorporated at the front door of the residence. The roof of the building was also upgraded from flat to pitched. My compliments to Audra's family for the reuse of likely a very sturdily built structure. Note the sidewalks behind the building leading out into the open area. These were likely for outhouses, one for the boys and one for the girls. That means the school was built without indoor plumbing. Note the well with hand pump near the right corner of the building. Street View also shows the sidewalk leading to the road is still there. Current satellite image shows some of the former outhouse sidewalks are still in use. Pin location adjusted to: 2906 E 950 Ave, Edgewood, IL 62426. View looks ESE.
