This is the one-room schoolhouse at Jones Ridge. My mom, Mary Jarrett, attended this school. She was in the last class to go there, the students wrote their names on the chalk board, which was never erased, so their names are permanently on the chalk board. My brother and I would visit our grandparents in "the Ridge" every summer, Park & Emma Jarrett, they lived in the house across the street from the elevator. We'd walk by the schoolhouse when we went to play with David Heinz at the farm there on the left, or when we'd go to the Chinchbug for a soda (the old one that burned down). Last time we were there was about 10 years before this photo was taken.
