Union Hill School at the intersection of of Route 17 and 14000W road. This was a 2-room school; one room housed grades 1-6 and the other room was for grades 7-8 and the first two years of high school. The high school grades were eventually moved to another location, and the two rooms were split between grades 1-4 and 5-8. The 1976 book "History of Norton Township" states that after the school closed in 1966, it was sold and spent some time being used as a tavern. Apparently, 1971 was one of those years.
