Holiday Inn, Route 50 North, Bradley IL.
Looking NE at the Holiday Inn, Bradley, and an accompanying ARCO gas station. 800 North Kinzie Avenue, Illinois State Route 50, Bradley, Illinois. A Quality Inn occupies this building today, and a BP is where the ARCO was. This area around the hotel, today, has been built up.
I remember this Holiday Inn before it had the four-story tower in the middle (the outdoor swimming pool was previously in the middle. We lived in Kankakee starting in 1959, and my Dad would go to the this Holiday Inn to make Holidex reservations for summer vacations. In the 1970s, a very good local restaurant, Sully's, was the motel's restaurant. Those were the days when Holiday Inn rates were around $8.00 per night for a single person.
