This was Johnny's Lehigh Corner, Rt. 17 West, Kankakee County, IL.

Looking SW at 6978 Illinois State Route 17, about 8-miles due west of Kankakee, Illinois. Seen going south in the picture, along the RH edge, is Kankakee County Road 7000W. Today, the house still stands, but the building is gone.

This was my Grandmother's restaurant/ bar. She was the cook. I lived there in the early 70s until 1979 when we moved. My uncle owned Vi Johns restaurant tha is now called Frans on 17. We used to play on there when it closed.
