Woodland Grade School , north side of Gages Lake rd.

I attended Woodland Elementary School from 1958-1963. Back in those days all we had was the original long building. We had a huge playground in the back and lots of wooded areas. In the front at the far right was a series of crossing bars and the swinging rings suspended from chains. Oh the blisters I received from those but it never stopped me! The large asphalt area had several hopscotch grids painted on and I believe there was also a grid of 4 squares together to from a large square for the game 4-square.
It was a small school back then....but the memories are huge!
