The building in the center of photo with black roof was Effingers Hardware store and is now the Sewing Source. Behind the building is now the VFW. They are on Grand Ave. (Rt. 132) in Lake Villa.
The building across the street from the hardware store was a IGA grocery store and still there . This is on Grand Avenue .
the grocery store used to be Dalgaards (SP?) Grocery. We'd by 1/2 a cow from them every year
