Long Lake. Foreground has the train depot. Across the street was Nix’s market in the 60’s. One of the taverns on the right side was “3 Plums”. I used to ride my bike to one of them to buy candy. I remember a large barrel of salted peanuts next to the door, pickles and pickled eggs on the bar. I also used to deliver papers in the neighborhood. The Stedronsky (SP?) family used to live a block or so behind Nix’s and Ledgerwoods and Walkers were also near by.
