This property was owned from May 1970-August 1991 by Ludwig and Martina Horn, my parents. They raised 3 of their 6 children there. Older three were raised in Deerfield. They bought 15 acres from the Anderson's and sold all 15. Boundary is now Crystal Lake Rd to the East.

Moved there right after graduating Deerfield High School in 1970. Went into the Army July 1971 Before that pond was dug or the little house in the backyard.

The barn/workshop and the left (west) end of the house are gone. The house has been expanded tremendously, with the right (east) end being bedrooms for the new home. Trees planted in the '70s have grown. You can see it all in Google Earth or Google Maps with street view.

Neighborhood has changed drastically - instead of a large empty farm field across the road is a suburban home development with a police station closest to this home. And Route 120 may be re-routed along the eastern boundary (!).
