The curved road is Rt 66, with I 55 running across it. The building in the middle was a Budget Inn for many years and is now a Motel 6. The road that runs past it towards town is Kickapoo St. The three-story building in the foreground is still standing as of this date (Oct 2019)
Holiday Inn with the prerequisite Gulf service station next door. 2011 North Kickapoo Street, Lincoln, Illinois. The 4-lane highway is the 1940-built U.S. 66 bypass of Lincoln. Kickapoo Street was the original 1926 alignment of Route 66. The railroad is the Illinois Central Gulf. Looking SW.
