The Pig Hip Restaurant, a Phillips 66 gas station, and the Pioneer’s Rest Motel, a long-standing stop while traveling U.S. 66. Broadwell, Illinois. The house with the ‘RESTAURANT’ sign, and the remains of the motel still stand. Sadly, the Pig Hip Restaurant closed, and became a museum, which burned in 2007. U.S. 66 is the
4-lane highway. The motel, gas station, and Pig Hip were located along the Frontage Road. West Oak Street is seen crossing U.S. 66. View looks west.
