Looking NW where Broadway Avenue crosses a branch line of the Illinois Central Gulf. Beason, Illinois. Clinton Street is to the north of the railroad. Some, but not all of the buildings remain here. The railroad is gone, and the Beason Fire Protection District building stands along Broadway, where the white sign and evergreens are. The Beason, 62512, Post Office occupies the brown building, which is the northern most brown building on the west side of Broadway. It’s covered by the ‘watermarked E’ in the picture.
