Photo 101-NMAC-1 from 1981

Comments

This is the old McIntyre place after the 1974. The machine shed in the right side of the picture is new since then.

Although the land had been in the family for many years prior, Lenard and Dorothy McIntyre moved into the home in 1934, raising their four daughters, Norma (Boston), Jean Ann (Wills), Frances, and Pat (Johnson).

In 1986, Lenard and Francis moved to town, while their eldest daughter, Norma (and Gerald) Boston moved in.
It was sold to Monterey Coal Company in 2006, with a contract to purchase back upon completion of the long wall mining process.

In 2023, the land was purchased back into the McIntyre family by Scott (Michele) Wills, grandson of Lenard McIntyre, and son of Jean Ann and Charles Wills. Scott, Michele, and their daughter Kayla, made major updates to the house, including rebuilding the north side of the house, adding an attached garage, master suite, and completing the upper floor. The detached garage, root cellar, and small bin were removed. Kayla Wills and her fiancΓ©, Tim Marston moved in to the family home in 2024.
