The gas station is gone. Hotel isn't open anymore, and the restaurant has been under new management several times. The farm field behind the motel now has a factory built on it. And the highway is now a two lane road.

A small Texaco gas station, restaurant, and motel, located where Illinois State Route crosses (old) U. S. Route 66, Mt. Olive, Illinois. This was the second, possibly third alignment of U. S. 66 prior to the construction of Interstate 55. View looks north.
