Former Gehrig one room schoolhouse, constructed in 1916. According to the Illinois Digital Archives, it was the first school building in the state built to meet 1915 Illinois legislative requirements for rural school ventilation, sanitation, and lighting. The school closed after the 1950-51 school year.
