666 Leroy Rd, Highland, IL 62249. This is the former East Sugar Creek school in Helvetia Township. The school operated into the late 1940s before consolidating into the Highland district. On June 16, 1951 the school building was sold at auction and purchased by Robert and Rita Eilers. They converted it into a home. Mr. and Mrs. Eilers lived there until their respective deaths 2005 and 2016.
