Grover Whitlock homestead
I was raised there and currently live there, house is gone, most all the trees are gone from storms, wished this was a better picture of the main farm instead of the barn
I was raised here, from 1966 through 1972. My parents' farm.
Hi Stan! Thanks for sharing your connection to this photo from 1976. It's great to hear that you were raised here on your parents' farm. We'd love to learn more about your experiences growing up in McDonough County. Can you tell us what kind of farming your parents did during that time? Or maybe you could share with us any significant changes you've noticed in the area since then?
We raised hogs, cattle, chickens, corn, beans and hay. A mobile home replaced the old house as a dwelling around 2003. Since that time, additions were added to the mobile home and my brother Steve lives here.
