Olympia High School (District Unit 16) - one of my brothers graduated in 1978, I graduated in 1984, our niece in 1988, our nephew in 1995. Olympia was opened in 1972. It is one of largest school districts in the state of Illinois comprising of eight different small communities (Atlanta, Armington, Danvers, Hopedale, McLean, Minier, Stanford, & Waynesville) in four different counties (DeWitt, Logan, McLean, & Tazewell) The school now houses the middle school grades of 6th - 8th as well as the high school grades 9th - 12th. The building has been added onto to allow for the extra grades.
