My mother lived here from 1939 until her death in 1996. It's been in our family since 1868 except for a few years in the 1920's when it was owned by someone else. I lived there from 1959 to 1982. Most of the outbuildings and trees are gone now, and the house is in rough shape but we still own it and a friend of the family lives there to watch the place. We didn't stop using that outhouse until 1972. That's when we finally got an indoor bathroom.
