This is the place my wife and I bought in 1982. I have farmed here since the fall of 1975. A tornado in 1977 blew the roof on the cattle shed to the far right over the trees and hit the two story house. Another cattle shed, a machine shed and the south roof of the big bank barn were either destroyed or badly damaged. We worked on restoring the house for years and moved in Good Friday 1986. The house and the building to the left and behind it are the only buildings left from when this was taken. In the 1872 Morgan Co. atlas this farm was owned by B.G. and Mary(Rohrer) Pugh. Their daughter Mary and her husband a Stice built the two story addition in about 1910. This site has been a home since shortly after Israel Turner purchased this 80 acres 1 Jan. 1828.
