If I remember correctly it was in the mid 1940's when my grandpa Jacob Herschberger bought this farm. when it was all done he had 40 acres on the east side of the road and 160 acres on the west side of the road for a total of 200 acres (189 acres tillable). My uncle Menno Herschberger and his wife Cora where the 1st ones to live there followed by Mel & Alta (my aunt) Yoder who lived there until 1952 when my parents Toby & Lydia Ann Herschberger where married and moved here. I have an aerial photo of sometime in the late 1940's and then I can also see the one's from 1966 & 1979 along with tis one. There is also one from 2009 that I can't find on-line anywhere. This farm stayed in the Herschberger family until the last part (the acreage the buildings are on) were sold in 2017.
