West side of Detroit.. On the right, partially hidden by a tree, is Ranft's Dairy Delite. No longer open, the building is still standing. The house on the west side of the Dairy Delite was where Julian Ranft lived. Mr. Ranft owned the Dairy Delite. The house still stands. The house that is further back on the left is no longer standing. The highway in the foreground is US Hwy 36, now State Hwy 106. The road in the background is old US Hwy 36.
