A farmstead located along the north side of an old alignment of US 36. Sometime between 1962 and 1968, the new section of US 36 seen here to the south was constructed and opened. Once the old highway was abandoned, a machine shed and couple grain bins were constructed on the old pavement. This shed is barely visible behind the large tree in the center of the photo. Today, only that shed survives, along with enough of the old pavement to access the shed. All other remnants of the farm have been erased from the landscape. The Norfolk and Western RR tracks are seen in the distance. View looks SSW.
