Estelle Kampmeyer Elementary School was built in 1965 and named after a former District 90 elementary teacher named Estelle Kampmeyer. Over the years, EK School has housed students from grades Pre-Kindergarten – 6th grade. In 1988, an addition was added to the existing building and this area now houses the library, and grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

I lived on Bevirt for about 6 years (1986-1991) and 5 of my children went to school at EK. My house was across from the EK playground, so all kids simply walked across the street to school. The houses are not in this photo, because they had not been built in 1968.
I was also the Cubmaster for Pack 35 that had their monthly Pack meetings at the school.
