Photo 84-ICL-3 from 1968

Chickens Tavern to the Left and Rutter's General Store in the center.

Rutter's Store was run by my grandparents at that time, it had been in the family since it was built in 1849 by Henry Rutter.
On the front left corner of the store were two gas pumps (regular and ethyl), I can remember gas being 26 cent a gallon.
Right front corner of the store was the post office, my dad was postmaster there for many years.
