Sin’s Inn in Darmstadt.
Sinn’s Inn
Sinn's Inn. It's gone now. When I was very young (early 70s) the second floor was removed. The east end of the building (R side in pic) was a store / meat market, The middle door was to the tavern. The west end (single story) was the dance hall. The south side (you can just see the peak of the roof) was the residence. When I was a kid it was owned and operated by L.P. Sinn and his wife Lorene. Their kids grew up there, at least the younger ones (Larry, Mary, Shirley, Loren, Dennis, Lennie).
L.P. and his family later purchased land from from my dad and they built a house and small farm next to us about 3 miles out of Darmstadt. Son Loren lived there and ran the tavern in the 80s and it became a very popular spot for country/western music fans and cars were parked up and down the road. My aunt and cousins lived in the trailer in the upper right corner of the photo. Cal Pflasterter's garage is right across the street.with the DX sign.
