An old restaurant, located in the northwest corner of North First Street, and West Main Avenue, Illinois State Routes 4 and 15, Fayetteville, Illinois. Today, this is a vacant lot. View looks north.
The former Kaskaskia Inn. This was a very popular establishment in the 1960s & 70s as evident by the crowded parking lot in the 1968 photo. I've been told they served great catfish. The building was demolished sometime between August of 2006 and August of 2007. I seem to recall the sign out front had a riverboat on it. However, that part of the sign is missing in this 1996 photo.
