My father built this house starting in 1970. He and Mom raised 6 kids here. what a wonderful childhood it was. Us boys spent a lot of time at the Mackinaw river in the background. I built my own house just south of here in 1998. Sadly, in November of 2013 it burnt to the ground. Fortunately, Mom and Dad were not home. They lost everything. The company I work for built them a new home in the same footprint. Dad lived 7 months in the new home before going home to heaven. I am so thankful to find this picture. All of our pictures of this house were lost in the fire. I will be purchasing soon. Thank you!!!
