Southwest corner of Rt.6 and I-55 was Murray restaurant/gas station in the 80s and 90s a McDonald’s/amoco is there now.
Looking west-southwest a Standard service station, located at the interchange of Interstate Highway 55-U. S. Route 66 and U. S. Route 6, Channahon, Illinois. Today, the Standard station is a joint BP-McDonald's. Note the billboard advertising that it's "Time to Try...AMERICAN Super Premium Gasoline with MPG"
