CITGO Service Station That Was Changing From Cities Service At The Time This Photo Was Taken. The Building Was Torn Down In The 1980's, And It Was Rebuilt With A More Modern Shell Station At The Time. The Shell Building Lasted Until 2018 Or 2019 When It Was Rebuilt With A More Modern Shell/Circle K Gas Station. This Station Is Located On Lincoln Highway (U.S. 30) And Essington Road In Joliet, Illinois.

There Also Was A Phillips 66 Service Station That Was Across The Street From This Station During The Late 1960's And The 1970's. It Was Not Built Yet When This 1965 Photo Was Taken. It Possibly Closed Down Around The Time When The Louis Joliet Mall Opened In 1978. It Then Became An Empty Lot. Between 1988 And 1993, This Site Was Built For A Hardee's Restaurant. Then In 1997, The Hardee's Restaurant Closed Down Along With All The Other Locations In The Chicagoland Area At The Time. The Hardee's Later Reopened As A Burger King, Which Is Still There To This Day, With A Remodel That Happened In 2017 Or 2018.
