The "old" First Presbyterian Church at the corner of Weber Road and Jennifer Lane. In one form or another, it had been around since 1833. This building was replaced by a new church next door (south) in 2004, from a bequest from the estate of Frances Mable Patterson (church Sunday school secretary for 62 years) and her brother, Warren (Bud). For many years it was a rural church, surrounded by farms and not particularly close to any towns. Longtime pastor Larry McCulloch (1967-1998) helped the church successfully transition into an urban place of worship. By 1973, a housing development was already underway just a couple hundred yards to the south. By the end of the 1980s, farmland was disappearing and the church was completely urban by the 1990s.
